TOC: State, Religion and Church , Vol. 5, no. 1

The editors are pleased to announce the publication of volume 5, no. 1 of State, Religion and Church, a project of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.

This issue focuses on Islam in the Russian Federation and includes articles by a range of Russian scholars, a round table, and two interviews, including one with journalist Orkhan Jemal, who recently lost his life while on assignment in the Central African Republic.

In the past decades, the epistemological and methodological focus on emotions as a crucial element of social and political life, known as the "emotional turn" in the social sciences and humanities, has emerged as a dominant prism of analysis. This workshop seeks to bring this emotional turn into the study of post-Soviet Russian space.
