Randolph Hollingsworth's picture

Image courtesy of Cheri Bryant Hamilton of Louisville, daughter of Ruth Booker from Detroit. Booker attended Nannie Helen Burroughs' Training School in Washington D.C. 1938-42. In 2006, half of the original school (founded in 1908 and declared a National Historic Landmark in 1991) was used for the Monroe School. The bust honoring Burroughs, pictured here with Cheri Bryant Hamilton, can be found in the school yard there.
