Family Bibles from 19th Century were an important part of the lives and history to that period of Kentucky. Forward, an example of one such Bible frontpiece, a color page of Moses the Lawgiver.
This Family Bible belonged to the Holmes-Maloney-Gibbs-Hillis families over past 150 plus years with its records of part to the family members and their lives. Published in 1842, from Chicago, Illinois, the Bible traveled across time and distance from it origianl home in Kentucky to the present, thru Kansas, Colorado, California and Nevada.
