Setting Your Notifications

Want to follow your H-Net discussions via email?  Here's how.

Be sure to log in using the icon/log in button in the upper right of the page.

Click on the shadow icon in the upper right corner of the page and choose "Notifications" from the drop down list.

Using My H-Net

My H-Net is a new feature of the H-Net Commons which allows users to customize a page which displays the content most interesting to them and view it from their My H-Net page by setting up "blocks" of content which will automatically update with new content from networks or about subjects the user specifies. 

Use this guide to learn how to add a "widget" to your My H-Net page.

If you are already logged in, click on My H-Net under My Profile on the top right.

How to Create an account on the H-Net Commons

In order to subscribe to networks and begin discussing with fellow scholars, you will need to sign up for a free H-Net account.  

Go to  and click the Sign Up link in the upper right of the page as shown below.


Next, simply follow the instructions on screen.

You must confirm your account via the e-mail with which you signed up!

You must be logged in to your free Commons account in order to use all of the activities described here (except basic searching, which anyone can do.)
