H-Utopia, like the 25-year-old Society for Utopian Studies, is devoted to discussion of utopianism in all its forms, from literary expression to policy analysis to architectural criticism to activism. Our focus is on the forms, contents, and influence of utopian/dystopian thinking.

The Editorship of the JWMS has become available following the impending retirement of the current Editor Patrick O’ Sullivan.

The William Morris Society is looking for a new editor to take on the Journal with effect from the Winter 21015 edition, due out December 2015/Jan 2016.

Annual Prizes

The Center for Communal Studies at the University of Southern Indiana annually invites submissions for its prize competition for the best undergraduate and graduate student papers on historic or contemporary communal groups, intentional communities and utopias. Submissions may come from any academic discipline and should be focused on a topic clearly related to contemporary or historic communal groups or utopias.
