The Association for the Study of the Middle East and Africa (ASMEA) will hold its Eleventh Annual Conference titled, “The Middle East and Africa: Tradition, Evolution, and Revolution,” November 1 – 3, 2018 at the Key Bridge Marriott Hotel in Washington, D.C.
The Journal of Women’s History is currently seeking nominations, including self-nominations, for its next President. This six-year term will begin in January 2019. Interested candidates will be asked to send a CV and a couple of paragraphs explaining how their scholarly, academic, administrative, and/or organizing experience prepares them to preside over the JWH Board.

Since 2012, the International Journal of Islamic Architecture (IJIA) has published, on a bi-annual basis, peer-reviewed articles on the urban design and planning, architecture and landscape architecture of the historic Islamic world – encompassing the Middle East and parts of Africa and Asia – but also the more recent geographies of Islam in its global dimensions.
