H-Sport enables scholars around the world who are engaged in the historical, socio-cultural, and philosophical study of sport, physical education, and physical activity to discuss research and teaching interests, conferences and symposia, current issues, sources of funding, publishing, new data and collections, and other areas of interest to scholars.

World Cup Discussions on H-Net

The World Cup has begun and along with it comes an opportunity to examine the Beautiful Game and its global impact. To do so, the Editorial Affairs Committee at H-Net (which includes H-Sport and the many other groups) is starting an initiative to address the World Cup and the sport of soccer/football across H-Net. Subscribers from all over H-Net are encouraged to contribute and produce World Cup related content. The H-Sport Team hopes that our list can be an active part of this cross-network discussion and welcomes the following submissions:
