Soyuz is formally constituted as the Post-Communist Cultural Studies Interest Group of the American Anthropological Association (AAA) and is also recognized as an official unit of the American Association for the Advancement of Slavic Studies (AAASS).

SOYUZ: The Postsocialist Cultural Studies Network is very pleased to announce the program for the 2019 Symposium, "Beyond the Soviet Slot: Race, Indigeneity, and Identity," to take place at the University of Pittsburgh, March 29-30. 

What potential political projects and imaginaries can emerge at the intersection of post-colonial and postsocialist experience and research? Scholars will come together for a two-day symposium to consider this and other questions, particularly as they relate to race, indigeneity and identity.

This 42 or 21 days summer school offers participants to master skills in written and oral modern Russian, reading and interpreting Russian texts from different periods as well as rapidly deepening their knowledge in colloquial Russian.
