On February 21, 2017, H-Net Council voted to de-commission H-Shukyo. The network has been largely unused and ran without editors for an extended period of time. Attempts to find new ones did not work out. Rather than continuing attempts to revive an unused network, we suggest prospective subscribers join our much larger and active networks in related fields. These might include H-Japan, H-NE-Asia, H-Buddhism, H-Asia and many more of our 180+ networks.
Feel free to contact me with any questions about this decommissioning.
All the best,
H-Net Vice-President for Networks

Announcement of change of distribution and publishing arrangements from the Center for Japanese Studies Publications Program, University of Michigan
As of January 1, 2016, we are pleased to announce that the University of Michigan Press (UMP) will handle marketing and distribution of all titles, both new and backlist, in all formats (print and ebook), of the Center for Japanese Studies Publications Program.
These pleas for donations go out to every network on H-Net and I feel a little funny every time I see one appear on a network that has been so quiet for so long. This message in particular is odd as it emphasizes the good work of H-Net editors, then appears on a network that is silent because it has had no editor.
