Papers of Gardner F. Williams

I am searching for the papers of Gardner F. Williams, the American engineer who managed the diamond mines of DeBeers at Kimberley and who wrote "The Diamond Mines of South Africa."  That book -- and the other books about Kimberley, DeBeers, and Rhodes that I have read -- do not make direct reference to any personal papers.  Still, I wonder if list members know if any exist.

CFP: Forum on European Expansion and Global Interaction 2016 | Feb 5-6 | U. California, Irvine

Fellow South Africanists: This is a dynamic and engaging small conference; a really productive forum for presenting work on African engagements with other regions in the early modern period--including but not limited to slavery and other oceanic trade. What's more, the next meeting is in Irvine. I'd love to see colleagues from this list by the balmy shores of the Pacific in February.
