Scholarship on the night & the dark in Russian/Eurasian history & cultures?

Dear Colleagues,

This seems an appropriate query to post on Halloween.

I am looking for scholarship (historical, anthropologic, literary, etc.) on the night and darkness in Russian/Eurasian history & cultures.

If you are aware of any such works (books, chapters, articles), I will be very grateful for any pointers!

Thanks so much, in advance.

Best,

Andrey Shlyakhter (andrey@uchicago.edu)
