"Uprising of '34" collection to be digitized

Georgia State University, the Oral History Association's host institution, has received a grant from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission to digitize and transcribe the oral history interviews conducted for the film "The Uprising of '34" on the 1934 general textile strike in the South.  The film, directed by George Stoney and Judith Helfand, won numerous  awards, including the 1995 Non-Print Media Award of the OHA, and received widespread acclaim.

Literacy test for voter Registration?

I will be traveling in the South for a few weeks this summer and would like to visit archives that have materials regarding the development and adminstration of literacy tests as a requirement for voter registration. I am especially interested in finding copies of actual tests and forms, preferably in completed form, for a project on the history of the literacy test. Any information about possible archives, or any other suggestions, will be highly appreciated!
