H-NEAsia focuses on transnational issues involving the peoples of northeast China, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, and eastern Russia. Its goals are to aid communication and collaboration regarding research across this area and to provide an outlet for relevant book reviews.

The Treasures of Danzan Ravjaa

The Endangered Archives Programme at the British Library is pleased to announce the addition of a new catalogue to its web pages. The material now online is part of the project EAP031: The Treasures of Danzan Ravjaa

The project digitised a rare privately-owned cache of Mongolian and Tibetan manuscripts that were spared from the communist repression and recently unearthed from caves in the Outer Mongolian province of Dorngobi.

Launch of a new Nordic Journal: Asia in Focus (apologies for cross-posting)

On 10 March 2015, the Nordic Institute of Asian Studies launched Asia in Focus - a Nordic journal on Asia by early career researchers. The new online journal published by NIAS is a unique initiative as it actively targets Master’s and Ph.D. students as authors. NIAS has a long history of assisting early career scholars who are affiliated to member institutions with disseminating their work through publication and establishing this journal seemed the natural step to take next.
