NEH Visual Culture of the American Civil War and Its Aftermath

The American Social History Project/Center for Media and Learning at the City University of New York Graduate Center will host a two-week NEH Summer Institute for college and university faculty in July 2018 on the Visual Culture of the American Civil War and Its Aftermath.  Applications to participate will be accepted via mail, e-mail, and our online application system until March 1, 2018.

Southern Cultures, the award-winning quarterly of the Center for the Study of the American South, encourages submissions from scholars, writers, musicians, and visual artists for our Music and Protest Issue, to be published Fall 2018. Archie K. Davis Fellowships offered by the North Caroliniana Society

ARCHIE K. DAVIS FELLOWSHIPS
To encourage more extensive and intensive research in North Carolina’s historical and cultural resources, the North Caroliniana Society offers on a competitive basis Archie K. Davis Fellowships to assist scholars in gaining access to collections.  Stipends vary and are intended to cover travel expenses while fellows conduct research in North Caroliniana.  The annual deadline for proposals is March 1.  Visit www.ncsociety.org for specific guidelines.
