H-Medieval is currently seeking new editors. See our announcement here.
Contributors are sought for an edited collection, under contract with publishers Taylor and Francis, that illuminates the many worlds of the Medieval Mediterranean, 470-1350. Resting on a foundation of scholarly essays appropriate to undergraduate/first year graduate students, I am seeking narrative essays (2000-3000 words) accompanied by primary source materials, written and/or visual, illustrative of the contributor's argument and meant to engage students more deeply. The general theme of the chapters is as follows:
The Mediterranean and Its Environmental History
Postdoctoral Fellowship in Medieval Art and Digital Humanities
Call for papers: Futures and futurity in Renaissance Europe
Organizers: Jeroen Puttevils (University of Antwerp) & Nicholas Scott Baker (Macquarie University)
The American Academy of Research Historians of Medieval Spain (AARHMS) welcomes applications for our newly-renamed Simon Barton Memorial Junior Scholar Travel Grants. In 2018, AARHMS will offer up to three grants of $500 each in support of travel for research or conference presentations in the field of medieval Iberian history. These grants are offered in memory of Simon Barton, a historian of medieval Iberia whose research was surpassed in quality only by the depth of his commitment to mentoring young scholars.
