There is no better place to learn the processes and techniques of historic preservation than the living laboratory of Camden and nearby Philadelphia. And in fall 2016, the Mid-Atlantic Regional Center for the Humanities, at Rutgers University-Camden, will be launching a new continuing education program in historic preservation. The program designed for those who desire to gain a deeper understanding of the vocabulary and discipline of historic preservation.

The Immigration History Research Center Archives (IHRCA) Grant-in-Aid Awards
Applications are now being accepted for awards in support of a research visit of 5 days or more at the Immigration History Research Center Archives at the University of Minnesota. Four awards of $1,000 are typically granted, and these are open to scholars of all levels, including students and independent scholars.

2016 Conference Theme:
The State Historical Society of Iowa (SHSI) announces a grant program for the 2016/2017 academic year. SHSI will award up to ten stipends of $1,000 each to support original research and interpretive writing related to the history of Iowa or Iowa and the Midwest. Preference will be given to applicants proposing to pursue previously neglected topics or new approaches to or interpretations of previously treated topics. SHSI invites applicants from a variety of backgrounds, including academic and public historians, graduate students, and independent researchers and writers.
