We are happy to introduce the Commons Crossroads, a new kind of network for content delivered from all H-Net Networks around a single topic, representing the intersection of scholarship and thinking from across our many fields. Our first multi-network topic: The World Cup!
On July 1, 2015, H-Net Council voted to decommission H-Illinois and several other networks dedicated to the study of the history and culture of Midwestern US states. Council also approved a plan to create a new network, H-Midwest, dedicated to Midwestern Studies. Folks interested in Illinois History and Culture are encouraged to subscribe to H-Midwest.
Questions can be sent to Patrick Cox, H-Net Vice-President for Networks, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
As you can see, our list has safely crossed into the H-Net Commons and is ready for action. If you are reading this message as an email, then your subscription has been properly entered and notifications of new discussion posts activated. Our migration script sets all subscriber notifications to a single daily digest of postings. You can change this to individual postings or none at all from your MyHNet page, the landing page when you log in to the Commons. H-Illinois is H-Net's Network about the history and culture of peoples of the state of Illinois.
