"American Socialism Reconsidered" to be held on April 9:

The History and Influence of Socialism in America to be Examined by Experts and Scholars

WASHINGTON, D.C. [4/7/15] - With the release of a monumental new study of socialism in America this month, several prominent scholars and experts on political movements in America will hold a forum to discuss this subject at the National Press Club (529 14th St., NW, Washington, D.C.).

New York City: Discussion on Zumoff's book on CPUSA, April 18

Many readers of the list are most likely aware of my recent book, The Communist International and US Communism, 1919-1929 (Brill, 2014). Since the hardback is rather expensive, it may be of interest that a paperback version will be published this month (see: http://bit.ly/1FwpSYv )

The Prometheus Research Library is sponsoring a series of talks on the book this spring.

The first is in Manhattan, Saturday, April 18, at 3 p.m., at 322 West 48th Street (between 8th and 9th Ave.)
