Re: QUERY: team teaching

I'm surprised to hear that you anticipate resistance. Here in the UK (at least at the two institutions I have taught at - Queen Mary University of London and the University of Kent) courses are regularly team-taught. Lectures are shared amongst however many permanent (ie salaried) staff are involved, and occasionally lectures are given by postdoctoral employees who may or may not be on a permanent contract. All teachers also lead their own seminar groups.

QUERY: team teaching

I seek your collective experience and wisdom on a teaching bzw. administration matter. Please respond to me at: cross@ncwc.edu

I teach at a small liberal arts college. My colleague here in the history division and I want to develop a course that we team teach. We are expecting some resistance from the admin on this. I am seeking advice, tips, policy suggestions, vocabulary to avoid or to employ from anyone anywhere whose institution (or department) allows team teaching.

QUERY: German POWs in American camp in Miramas (Enclosure 12) - WWII

I am involved in an archeological project in the south of France near Miramas (between Marseilles and Aix-en-Provence). This camp should have been first an US Army camp and then an American camp for German prisoners of war known as Enclosure #412. The camp operated from December 14, 1945, to the summer of 1946.

I am looking for any information available on this site: documents , especially pictures, aerial photos, maps , and diagrams. I have already been in touch with NARA in College Park, so far without good results.
