ANN: 2014 Indiana University Summer Language Workshop (Bloomington, Summer 2014)

The 2014 Indiana University Summer Language Workshop is accepting applications for intensive study of Arabic, Hindi-Urdu, Hungarian, Mongolian, Persian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Swahili, Tatar, Turkish, and Uzbek.

* All participants pay in-state tuition and earn 6-10 credits

* 4- and 5-week options are available for Russian (ending on July 3)

* FLAS and ROTC Project GO funding available to qualified students — Priority deadline for funding is February 1, 2014. Funding requests received after this date will be reviewed contingent upon availability of remaining funds.

CFP: (Mis-)Representing Cultures and Objects (Stirling, May 2014)

A workshop titled '(Mis-)Representing Cultures and Objects- Critical Approaches to Museological Collections' is being conducted at the University of Stirling on 16 May 2014.  The workshop will critically examine, from a postcolonial context, the ways in which global cultures and associated materials have been represented in the contexts of museums.
