CFP: Postmodernism and African Art

A call for papers, from all scholars in any part of the world, to the panel, "Postmodernism and African Art", in the ASAUK Biennial Conference taking place at the University of Sussex, UK, 9-11 September, 2014.  Convenors of this panel are Chidi Ugwu & C. Krydz Ikwuemesi of the University of Nigeria.

In African art, the search for eclecticism may take a dangerous turn as it often approximates self-denial and a glorification of the other. Certain questions arise in this light:
