Dear Colleague,

The articles in this issue propose various reforms to core democratic mechanisms and engage with the ideas of impermanence in democratic governments, common democracy, and popular referendums. Call for Participation in a Virtual Conference on Democracy Studies

Hello everyone:

I have been proud to be the host of the H-Democracy and I hope you have enjoyed the weekly newsletter. For a couple of years, I have wanted to hold a conference on democracy studies. I tried to plan and hold a conference in the Washington, D.C. area but was recently persuaded to hold the confernce online. An online conference would have several advantages including lower costs, more participation, and the ability to recruit more speakers.
