Historic Takoma is considering the purchase of a large format scanner. I would appreciate any advice from those with experience using such scanners. The choices seem to be home-quality ones for $200 or professiona-quality for $1000-2000+ Any suggestions? Epson? Plustek (esp book scanner)?
We will be scanning mostly tabloid newsletters, posters, and some books. Or should I skip the scanner and just out-source everything. Pros and cons.
We are willing to spend the $2000 if it is worth it.
