The Cold War History Research Center is now accepting proposals for its 13th Annual International Student Conference to be held at
Corvinus University of Budapest on June 6–7, 2023.
The conference will take place in Budapest, Hungary and organized in collaboration with the
Desert Island Images is a series of conversations with specially invited guests, with a story to tell and a passionate relationship to the world of images. Hosted by the Barbican Library, each event explores the handful of images they find most powerful, inspiring, comforting, haunting or generally indispensable. Encompassing photographs, paintings, drawings, graphics, illustrations, films, TV, maps, diagrams and more, Desert Island Images is an invitation to take the pulse of our image saturated world via a unique personal and critical perspective.
