Scope:
Learn about women's diverse struggles for security and independence in the midst of the American Revolution during the Annual Martha Washington Lecture at George Washington's Mount Vernon.
Holly A. Mayer and Lorri Glover, contributors to the new book, Women Waging War in the American Revolution, join fellow historian Graham Hodges to discuss how women took part in and contributed to the conflict which won the nation’s independence.
After the lecture, guests will enjoy a reception with wine, beer, and a book signing.
Attend an online panel discussion with Gregory Downs, Erik Alexander, Richard Pildes, and Michael Holt on the Contested Election of 1876 and its lessons for modern democracy hosted by The Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library & Museums.

Oral History Summer School is back in session with 2 upcoming summer workshops! Applications are now open for our summer intensives. Come all ye documentarians, journalists, artists, media-makers, educators and those looking to learn new things in good company. This summer, our lead instructor Suzanne Snider will be joined at Sylvan by Nicki Pombier, who will support our conversation around nontraditional communication and oral history beyond speech.
