ARTEFACTS XXVIII “Wide-Angle and Long-Range Views”
ARTEFACTS is an international network of academic and museum-based scholars of science, technology and medicine interested in promoting the use of objects in research. The network was established in 1996 and since then has held annual conferences examining the role of artefacts in the history of science and technology and related areas.
As an affiliate society of the American Historical Association (AHA), the Central European History Society (CEHS) sponsors a variety of panels on German, Habsburg, and Central European History at the AHA’s Annual Meeting. In 2024, this meeting will be held from January 4-7 in San Francisco. In addition to co-sponsoring panels that have been accepted by the AHA Program Committee, CEHS may also place sessions on the program as a sole sponsor.
The 13th Edition of the Conference, on 29 - 30 June 2023 , brings together teachers, researchers, practitioners and project managers from all over the world to share findings, expertise and experience about innovative teaching and learning methodologies, through online presentations.
Tentative Title: The Liminal Space: Literary Cultures and Socio-political Movements in India
Call For Chapters
The Lancaster Prize in Digital Humanities is awarded for an outstanding undergraduate essay on any topic in a humanities discipline—such as history, archaeology, literature, theology, religious studies, anthropology and philosophy—that uses or critiques digital technology.
Offered by Lancaster University's Centre for Digital Humanities, the prize is open to current undergraduates at any UK or overseas university. The successful candidate will be awarded a prize of £250.
Possible themes may include, but are not limited to:
