Environmental Humanities Month, September-December 2023

The Environmental Humanities Month is now inviting proposals for online and hybrid events, interventions, projects, actions to be included in the globally focused Environmental Humanities Month in the Autumn of 2023.
We are pleased to announce the A Cross-Cultural Mediterranean: The 2023 Studia Mediterranea Conference, to be held in-person on September 15-16, 2023, at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Split, Croatia. This interdisciplinary conference is held by the Studia Mediterranea Centre, along with support from the Centre for Cross-Cultural and Korean Studies. The conference aims to explore the cultural, historical, and artistic connections and exchanges across the Mediterranean region and their connection with the world beyond.
Since the beginning of the 20th century, Switzerland, particularly Geneva, has been home to artistic treasures that witness rich cultural exchanges between peoples and regions. Among these treasures is the exceptional Pozzi Collection of Persian paintings housed at the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire in Geneva.The Pozzi Collection in Geneva represents one of the most significant collections of Persian paintings assembled by European private collectors during the 20th century. It was bequeathed by Jean Pozzi (1884-1967) to the museum.

Description of the Book
The Anne Braden Prize was established in 2020 to commemorate the centennial of the Nineteenth Amendment, recognizing the right of women to vote. The Braden Prize recognizes an article in a journal or edited book focusing on Southern women’s history. Articles published on Southern women from every racial, ethnic, class, or subregional background are eligible, from the colonial era up to the year 2000, inclusive.

Alman Dili ve Edebiyatı Dergisi – Studien zur deutschen Sprache und Literatur (Journal of German Language and Literature) is a peer-reviewed international academic journal founded in 1954 by Istanbul University’s Department of German Language and Literature. It is published biannually (June & December).
Call for papers:
As demonstrated by Wendy Bellion’s scholarship, iconoclasm lies at the foundation of the United States. Yet Bellion also shows us that, rather than being sealed in the past, iconoclastic projects continue into the present. Iconoclastic destruction invariably entails creation—whether it is the construction of new monuments to replace the toppled ones, or the coalescence of a new community, movement, or nation.
