Established in 2020, the World Art History Institute (WAI) at Shanghai International Studies University has firmly established itself as a leading research institution closely affiliated with the Comité International d’Histoire de l’Art (CIHA). Its primary mission is to promote World Art Studies in China and foster collaboration within the global network of art history institutions, museums, archives, and libraries. In commemoration of its founding, WAI Shanghai will inaugurate the Distinguished WAI Lecture Series in September 2023.

Archives of IT (AIT) publishes comprehensive digital report on Human Computer Interaction (HCI)
From Punch Cards to Brain Computer Interfaces: 75 Years of Human Computer Interaction and its Impact on Society, was commissioned by AIT to develop the story of HCI by leveraging the charity’s unique knowledge base, reviewing our archive of interviews produced since 2015 and conducting six new interviews between late 2022 and early 2023.

The Immigration and Ethnic History Society (IEHS) presents two awards of $1,000 each to help graduate students with their dissertations on U.S. immigration, emigration, or ethnic history, broadly defined. These awards are intended for graduate students in the process of researching and writing their dissertations, and not for students completing and defending in 2024. For the 2024 award, the committee invites applications from any Ph.D. candidate who will have completed qualifying exams by 2023.
Call for papers for international workshop on child health history hosted at University of Fribourg, Switzerland, June 21-22, 2024. There is support for travel & lodging. Applicants must be prepared to submit a full working draft of their papers prior to the meeting. We encourage proposals from scholars working at the intersections of history of child health and disability studies, non-western areas of study, health care disparities, health policy, sociology, and anthropology. We encourage submission from scholars focused on child health in low- and middle-income countries.
