In April 2016, we are very proud to be hosting the 3rd İstanbul Aydın University International Translation Conference with the chosen theme entitled "Challanges in Literary Translation". The conference is organised under the auspices of School of Foreign Languages.

The conference will take place in Istanbul on 18-19 April 2016. All interested academics, researchers, translators and students are welcome to join and contribute with their academic work.

Romania has the largest number of abandoned children in the European Union. The number of children in the care of the child protection system is over 60,000. Of these 60,000 institutionalised children, only 3,000 are adoptable. The number of applications for adoption is 1,700.

We are pleased to invite papers for the BrANCH postgraduate and early career

workshop, to be held at Keele University on March 18th, 2016. The workshop provides a

forum for the constructive consideration and discussion of thesis chapters, potential

journal submissions and conference papers. Submissions are encouraged for individual

papers from postgraduate and early career academics working on all aspects of US
