The Postwar Area Literature Group invites submissions on the following postwar + contemporary topics for the 2024 American Literature Association Conference, which will be held in Chicago, IL from May 23-26, 2024 (information on the annual conference can be found at the American Literature Association website). The Postwar Group has three guaranteed panels this year, two in postwar studies and one in contemporary studies. Ancient Studies Annual (ASA) is an interdisciplinary journal, featuring original articles from graduate students, and peer-reviewed by PhD candidates and scholars from around the globe. The journal is hosted by the Department of Ancient Mediterranean and Near Eastern Studies at the University of British Columbia. Annually, ASA publishes its open-access issue concerning a theme of the ancient world that ties together the research articles within a volume accessible to a wider audience.

In print for 60 years, Terrae Incognitae focuses on the history of exploration and is published by Taylor and Francis. Over the years, the journal has expanded from one to three issues per year. Its present editor, Richard Weiner, wishes to retire from the post to pursue other projects and seeks a replacement.
The Centre of International Studies (CEI) at Iscte - University Institute of Lisbon (Portugal) announces the opening of a competition for 1 postdoctoral contract in the area of African Studies or related fields. The position is part of ERC Starting Grant “AfDevLives: The Afterlives of Development Interventions in Eastern Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique)” (Ref. 101041788), hosted by CEI-Iscte and led by Dr. Yonatan N.
