The Department of South Asia Studies at the University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a tenure-track position in social hierarchy, inequality, and exclusion at the rank of assistant professor. We are particularly interested in scholars whose work engages with caste, indigeneity, religious discrimination, stigma, or other forms of marginalization practiced in modern South Asia.
