The University of Heidelberg invites chapter proposals for the edited volume “The Vanguard of Class and Nation: Parties as Governments in Eurasia, 1920s–1990s.” The book workshop for the invited authors is scheduled to take place in Heidelberg on April 22–23, 2021.
As evidenced in the public nature of movements such as #NiUnaMenos, Argentina’s “Green Wave,” and the phenomenon of “Un violador en tu camino,” introduced by the Chilean performance group Lastesis, gender and sexuality are gaining public attention in Latin America in new ways, and performance is proving an important method of activism and engagement in the public sphere.
In the wake of the cancellation of the 2020 annual meeting of the American Society for Environmental History, the Network in Canadian History & Environment (NiCHE), in collaboration with H-Environment, is opening up its website to serve as a platform for alternative presentations. Any work that would have been presented at the conference in Ottawa can be presented here instead; all posts will also appear on H-Environment.
