The Global Tea Initiative for the Study of Tea Culture and Science (GTI) seeks chapter proposals for a peer-reviewed anthology, The Stories We Tell: Myths, Legends, and Anecdotes about Tea. Papers may also be considered for conference participation in GTI's annual colloquium of the same title (set to be held at the UC Davis Conference Center, Thursday, January 21, 2021.)
We welcome proposals that take any approach from the humanities and social sciences, to the sciences and health, to business and farming, and from anywhere in the world.

Our Summer Essay Contest is now open. We seek thoughtfully crafted contemporary essays on the connections between crisis and possibility. The crises of the moment are multiple. It can seem pollyannaish to even speak or write in this moment of hope, or of possibility. Nonetheless, crises and turmoil do spark change, for good as well as for ill. We believe it important to consider the types of possibilities that might be needed, desired, and realized.

The Association for Women in Slavic Studies (AWSS) Graduate Research Prize is awarded annually to fund promising graduate-level research in any field of Slavic/East European/Central Asian studies by a woman or on a topic in Women's or Gender Studies related to Slavic Studies/East Europe/Central Asia by a scholar of any gender. Graduate students who are at any stage of master's or doctoral level research are eligible. Only current graduate students are eligible for this prize.

We are seeking chapter proposals from academic faculty and practitioner-researchers alike in PK-12 and higher education who use visual methods and methodologies in researching how they improve teaching practice.

In China, popular culture idols are vital to the luxury fashion and cosmetics industry as brand ambassadors. This volume hopes to fill a critical gap in the English-language literature on this subject, bringing together authors from China (and Hong Kong and Macau), the United States, and around the world.
