Join the Alabama Department of Archives and History (ADAH) for the return of their program, history/now: "Tribal Sovereignty and the Supreme Court: The Alabama Connection." Jonodev O. Chaudhuri, Ambassador of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation to the U.S., and Grant Christensen, law professor at the University of North Dakota, will discuss the July 9 decision of the Supreme Court of the United States in McGirt v. Oklahoma, which affirmed the 1866 boundaries of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation and the nation's sovereignty within those borders.
