The Association for Asian Studies (AAS) Northeast Asia Council (NEAC) offers Korean Studies grants due to generous funding from the Korea Foundation (KF) The grant application deadline is fast approaching.
The international dimension of development planning has been the focus of a large body of scholarship over the past decade. Similarly, the influence of economic internationalism on national economies, in particular those of developing countries in the postcolonial period, has been widely discussed. While plenty is known about the planning processes concerning the involvement of international donor organisations and the entangled history of development aid and foreign politics, our knowledge of domestic economies of developing countries is often fragmented.
This is a curated antholology dedicated to future generations of immigrants in host countries different from their ancestral homes.

This panel will explore the concepts and stereotypes that lay behind the vision of love and eroticism expressed by Latin American authors. Its purpose is to create a dialogue about writers’ depictions of love, affections, and womanhood and how those ideas reflect, renew, or challenge Latin American societies. Comparative or feminist approaches in Spanish/English/Portuguese are suitable, but other approaches would also be considered.
Mashriq & Mahjar: Journal of Middle East and North African Migration Studies invites contributions to a special issue on “Queering Middle East Migrations.” This issue seeks to bring together scholars working on topics related to migration and sexualities from a variety of disciplinary perspectives, and to encourage others to begin to reflect on how sexualities inflect the migratory experience.
