We seek a chair and a third (and possibly a fourth) panelist for a proposed OAH 2019 panel on public representations of citizenship. One paper explores the memorialization of masculine ideals of citizenship through analysis of the statue including Theodore Roosevelt that stands outside the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. The other paper examines the performance of feminine ideals of citizenship via folk dance in Midwestern institutions of higher education in the early twentieth century.

Registration is now open for the 'Loyalty to the British Monarcchs, c.1400-1688' conference, to be held at the University of Nottingham on Wednesday 24th January. The conference is free to attend and includes refreshments and a lunch, but we ask that delegates register through the conference website, which provides more information and a conference programme.
