Project Editors are once again seeking contributors to the forthcoming four-volume Greenwood Encyclopedia of the Daily Life of Women: How They Lived from Ancient Times to the Present, to be published by ABC-CLIO, under the editorship of Colleen Boyett, Mildred Diane Gleason, and Micheal Tarver. Expressions of interest are welcome from graduate students, postdocs, professors, independent scholars, and public history professionals.
The polarization of social and political discourse, ongoing debates about the “truth,” a devaluation of expertise, and increased levels of anxiety among our students are just a few of the dynamics currently complicating our work in the classroom. The contentious quality of the moment makes it particularly difficult to address many of the topics that are at the heart of our disciplines including culture, identity, diversity, globalization, immigration, religion, and government.
