My forthcoming collection, Imperial Debt: Colonial Theft, Postcolonial Reparations, is in contract with Liverpool UP and due out before end of 2024.
The Journal of Popular Culture is looking for those who are interested in reviewing books. These reviews will be due on March 31, 2024. If you have a completed Master's degree or higher, one of these books is in your field of study, and you are interested in writing a review for us, please contact me at kiuchiyu@msu.edu, noting your preferred title and your mailing address. Please also send a short explanation to state what makes you a good reviewer of the book (or you may send me your CV).

Sandra Folie and Gianna Zocco: Introduction. Sketches of Black Europe: Imagining Europe/ans in African and African Diasporic Narratives
The course will offer tools of observation, analysis, and interpretation that may help to understand the specificity of cultural norms and patterns. It will discuss theoretical and practical perspectives in a bid to understand your social world and provide insights into subjective observations and customs.

The course will discuss approaches to research ethics in ethnography (positionality and reflexivity, intersectionality) and the politics of research.
Explore the foundational concepts of spatial thinking and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in this two-day workshop. This workshop is tailored for beginners to intermediate learners, offering a balance of theoretical insights and practical applications to empower social researchers in incorporating spatial analysis into their work.
