Call for Papers
On 13 June 2025, the Goethe-Gesellschaft in Weimar will host the International Symposium on Young Goethe Research for the thirteenth time. The symposium has become firmly established as a prelude to the four-day Annual General Meeting, which is attended by around 400 members from all over the world. It offers young academics the opportunity to present their own research findings to an international audience of experts.
The Robert and Lisa Sainsbury Fellowships 2024-25 provide recipients with an opportunity to work in a scholarly environment conducive to completing a publication project. The Fellowships are available to academics who have received a PhD in any area of Japanese culture. Preference will be given to Early Career Researchers working in the fields of visual studies, including but not limited to history of art, cultural heritage, archaeology, architecture, film studies, and digital humanities.
The History and Philosophy Program at The University of Texas at Dallas invites applications for the Jacqueline and Michael Wald Professorship. This is a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the history of human rights, genocide, and/or the Holocaust. The area of chronological and geographical specialization is open.
Position Description
Thanks to a generous donation by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, Wayne State University is proud to announce a multi-year cluster hire of 50 tenured or tenure-track faculty over a three-year period, and the establishment of the Detroit Center for Black Studies. This faculty-led center will be multidisciplinary and inclusive of the breadth of scholars who work in African American, African, and African-diaspora studies with attention to U.S. and global histories, urban, cultural, social, economic, legal, and health systems.
Position Description
The History and Philosophy Program at The University of Texas at Dallas invites applications for the Jacqueline and Michael Wald Professorship. This is a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the history of human rights, genocide, and/or the Holocaust. The area of chronological and geographical specialization is open.
Selection procedure, based on titles and examinations, for the award of no. 1 Research Grant for cooperation in research activities, with a duration of 24 months, in the field of Economic History (SDS SECS-P/12), for the following activities: the researcher will work in the PRIN 2022 PNRR project "Political Inclusion and Inequality in Preindustrial Italian Alps (1500-1800)". He/she will collect and analyse data from the accounting books of the rural communities, from the tax surveys and from the registers of the rural councils in the areas included in the research project.
The National Fellowship Program supports outstanding scholars enrolled in North American Ph.D. programs who are completing dissertations in United States politics, with an emphasis on historical and institutional analyses of politics, law, public policy, and international relations (including international law). Special consideration will be given this year to applicants working on problems pertaining to race, economic development, and the law.
The Decorative Arts Trust recently announced the creation of a new publishing grant program. This latest expansion of the Trust’s efforts to invigorate scholarship and broaden appreciation of material culture represents a major initiative that recognizes the strong demand for and limited supply of resources focused on publishing in the art community. This new endeavor establishes a commitment to sharing important art historical research as broadly as possible through print and digital formats.
