The Virtual Islamic Art History Seminar Series (VIAHSS) returns this Friday!
The first lecture of the Spring 2024 VIAHSS program will take place this Friday, January 26, at 12:00 NYC/17:00 London/18:00 Vienna/20:00 Istanbul. Marianna Shreve Simpson (Schoenberg Institute for Manuscript Studies, University of Pennsylvania) will present Master of the Minute: ʿAbdullah al-Shirazi, Artistic Identity and Art Historical Perception.
The submission portal is now open for the 2024 Frances Richardson Keller-Sierra Prize, awarded by the Western Association of Women Historians. The deadline for submission is February 4, 2024; applicants must be current WAWH members.
The Keller-Sierra Prize recognizes the best single-authored, original research-based monograph in the field of history. The book must be in English and have been published in the year (2023) prior to the prize. Learn more and/or apply here: https://wawh.org/keller-sierra-book-1
