The Association for Contemporary Iberian Studies will hold its 45th annual Conference, which will take place at Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin), from 4-6 September 2024. It will be hosted by Dr Deirdre Kelly, Dr Pilar Molina and Dr Mirna Vohnsen (TU Dublin). The conference will be held in a hybrid format.

Call for Abstracts: Research Based Practices in the Teaching of Turkish as L2
We are pleased to invite researchers and educators to submit abstracts for our upcoming online workshop on "Research Based Practices in the Teaching of Turkish as L2" organized at the University of Toronto. This event aims to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among researchers and practitioners worldwide in the field of teaching Turkish as a foreign/second/additional/heritage language.
The next VIAHSS lecture will take place on Friday, April 5, 2024, at 11:00 Houston/12:00 NYC/17:00 London/19:00 Istanbul/19:30 Tehran. Please note that the time may be slightly different than usual due to the switch to Daylight Savings Time in some locations.
Farshid Emami (Rice University) will present "Inhabiting a Cosmopolis: Urban Quarters and Civic Selves in Safavid Isfahan."
The Gallery of the Center for Gender Studies, Aoyama Gakuin University, will host the exhibit "Creative Commons" from April 20 - May 11, 2024.
The exhibit features the work of six creative collectives that grapple with gender issues in East Asia, exploring how the people from underrepresenting social groups help and support each other and create spaces for collective learning and action.
