This is the first wide-ranging history of the British constitution to be published for more than 50 years. It shows the centrality of constitutional history to studying power, the state and society.

The Gotha Research Centre of the University of Erfurt, the Francke Foundations in Halle and the Herzog August Bibliothek Wolfenbüttel are for the first time awarding a three-month fellowship for 2024 to an excellent postdoctoral researcher from East Central Europe to work with their holdings.
