The application deadline for the fourth International Seminar in Historical Refugee Studies has been extended to November 21. The seminar will be held at the University of Tübingen, July 3–6, 2024. It is sponsored by the University of Tübingen (UT), the German Historical Institute in Washington (GHI) and the American Historical Association (AHA), in cooperation with the Centre for Global Cooperation Research (KHK/GCR21).
Historical Geography is a peer-reviewed annual journal that publishes scholarly articles, book reviews, conference reports, and commentaries. Since 1993, the journal has encouraged an interdisciplinary dialogue among scholars, professionals, and students interested in geographic perspectives on the past. The journal is currently published by the University of Nebraska Press and distributed online through Project Muse. The journal is sponsored by the Historical Geography Specialty Group of the American Association of Geographers.

The Emerging Scholar prize is named in honor of two-time Post45 Journal editor Mary Esteve to celebrate her commitment to the work of the journal and her generosity as an editor and reviewer.
The 2024 Japan Studies Association Conference will be in Honolulu, Hawaii from January 3-5, 2024. Anyone interested in topics related to Japan (economics, history, sociology, fine arts, literature, language, and more) is invited to submit an abstract or panel idea. True Crime typically focuses on investigative journalism used to present a mystery or attempt to understand the psychology of a crime/perpetrator. It may include narratives of a case, victimology, forensics, or analysis of evidence, although each case is different. Much of True Crime focuses on serial killers/killings, although subsets of the genre may delve into topics such as kidnappings, cults, wrongful convictions, advocacy, white-collar crimes, trial proceedings, prevention of crime, survivor stories, or sensationalism/entertainment.
