Two travel grants of up to $1,000 each are awarded to IEHS members each year to be used toward costs of attending the OAH/IEHS Annual Meeting. The successful candidates will be members of IEHS, be participating in OAH/IEHS programs as presenters or commentators and/or IEHS committee meetings, and have insufficient institutional support for conference travel.

The Robert H. Smith International Center for Jefferson Studies at Monticello is accepting applications for short-term fellowships (1 to 3 months) through November 1. Fellows can address any topic relating to Jefferson, the Jefferson era, Monticello, or the enslaved community, all defined broadly. Former fellows have included academics, musicians, cooks, and artists. Domestic, International, Archaeological, Curatorial, or Historical Interpreters fellowships.
