Attention all Foodies. This conference is for you and there is still time to submit a proposal! Proposals are due June 30, and the conference is November 9-11 at the Sonesta Hotel in Philadelphia. What we choose to eat, when we eat it, with whom we eat it, and how we eat it is influenced by technology, economics, politics, fashion, tradition, religion, and other aspects of culture. Food not only answers our most basic physical needs, but also is central to social ritual and the construction of culture playing a vital symbolic role in forming societies.
The EHRI (European Holocaust Research Infrastructure) Project offers places in an interactive Online Course on “The Holocaust through the Perspective of Primary Sources” designed by EHRI-Partner Yad Vashem.
