A diverse cross-section of Americans participated in waging the Pacific War, on the battlefield and on the home front, yet too many stories are still underrepresented. Perspectives on World War II in the Pacific Theater examines this war experience through multiple and diverse narratives and perspectives, offering teachers a chance to develop a classroom practice which explores a full, layered and accurate history in a way which challenges and engages their students.

This is a Call for Papers that address two current areas of academic interest: Food Studies and studies of the American Dream. Interest in Food Studies has skyrocketed across multiple disciplines in recent years. American Dream studies, while experiencing a period of dormancy from the 1970's to the millennia, have had a vital resurgence over the last two decades. Our Call invites you to unite these two areas of contemporary scholarship by proposing an idea for a paper of 4,500 - 6,000 words. Our plan is to publish a collection of papers with a highly regarded academic press.
