HGSA is now accepting papers from graduate students in any field of historical inquiry, but especially those demonstrating innovative and/or interdisciplinary approaches.

The Overdyke Student Awards in North Louisiana History are made in memory of Dr. W. Darrell Overdyke, Centenary College, through the generosity of the late Mrs. Overdyke and her brother, Mr. E. Laurence Walker, of Shreveport, LA.
$200 first prize for the best article submitted by an Undergraduate Student on some aspect of North Louisiana History. Second prize is $150; third prize is $100. Winners are guests at the spring luncheon.
