The International Society for Board Game Studies invites proposals for its 22nd annual colloquium to be held at Bologna (Italy), in collaboration with the Italian Association of History Teachers, and the Department of Education of the University Alma Mater of Bologna.
Globalization has brought the world together by creating a new scope for sharing commonalities. But human history has always witnessed conflicts among global communities due to differences. An array of global conflicts has been creating numerous events of diaspora for the last few centuries. Not only diasporic event influences the sociopolitical condition of a country, but also it plays a vital role in reshaping the cultural existence of a social life. Mediation between identities, ambivalence regarding the self, conforming to the hybridity, etc.
The Center for Eastern Mediterranean Studies (CEMS) at Central European University and its junior members are proud to announce the forthcoming sixth International Graduate Conference on Cultural Entanglement, Transfer and Contention in Mediterranean Communities.The conference will provide a forum for graduate and advanced undergraduate students working on the Eastern Mediterranean to present their current research, exchange ideas, and develop scholarly networks.
Conference Description
It is our pleasure to present to you the 73rd issue of Folklore: Electronic Journal of Folklore under the title The Heritagization of the Isonzo Front, with Jurij Fikfak and Božidar Jezernik as guest editors. This issue give an overview of the cultural heritage of the Isonzo Front, which was one of the greatest, most tragic, and largely overlooked campaigns during the First World War.
