The Society of Global Scholars is proud to announce it's 3rd conference, Transgressing Fortified Borders, to be held at the University of California, Santa Barbara February 22nd and 23rd, 2019. This free graduate student-run conference looks to broaden the fields of inquiry in Global Studies while providing a platform for underrepresented perspectives. We are now accepting 150-200 word abstracts by October 1st, 2018 on topics engaging in the exploration and/or disruption of imposed local and global borders . Graduate and Undergraduate Students are welcome to submit.
We are looking for contributors to a workshop focused on ethnical, legal, professional and educational issues surrounding handling materials featuring forms of indigenous cultural/intellectual heritage, and/or created with participation of indigenous peoples, or on indigenous lands.
CFP: The European Culture Research Network [ECRN] of
The Center for Advanced Study in the Visual Arts announces its program for Paul Mellon and Ailsa Mellon Bruce Visiting Senior Fellowships. Fellowships are for full-time research, and scholars are expected to reside in Washington and to participate in the activities of the Center throughout the fellowship period. Lectures, colloquia, and informal discussions complement the fellowship program. Each visiting senior fellow is provided with a study. In addition, visiting senior fellows who relocate to Washington are provided with housing in apartments near the Gallery, subject to availability.
