The various subjects in Jewish Studies have drawn from developments in individual disciplines such as transnational history, comparative literature, social sciences, etc., but also from transdisciplinary developments such as the various "turns," specifically linguistic and cultural turns. Entangled histories and interpretations, the perception and conception of spaces and the construction of identity, to name just a few, have shaped the way we look at Jewish and non-Jewish relations today.
